LDC secured for loft extension and dormer

MJD Planning Ltd have helped to secure a Certificate of Lawful Proposed Use or Development for a loft extension to an existing semi-detached dwelling in Southend-on-Sea, with works comprising a rear dormer and two Velux windows to the front. MJD Planning Ltd advised the client on the extent of the works that could be undertaken under permitted development.

MJD Planning Ltd submitted an application for a Certificate of Lawful Proposed Use or Development to Southend City Council, setting out why the proposal met the requirements of Class B and C of Part 1, Schedule 2 of the General Permitted Development Order 2015 (as amended) (known as the GPDO). The Council confirmed that the works would be lawful and would meet the requirements of the GPDO and issued a lawful development certificate.

The works are have now commenced at the client’s property in accordance with those agreed plans.
